About the Journal

Open Access Policy

The journal is open access, meaning there is no charge to read papers.

South African Computer Journal  (SACJ) is an open access journal. All content is free to read, link to, copy, print, search and distribute without charge and without seeking permission of the publishers or authors. We charge a publication fee of ZAR6000 to cover production costs, which can be waived for authors without a budget to cover it.

Areas Covered

We publish papers on Computer Science, Information Systems and related fields. Papers of broader international interest are also published though the focus is on South Africa specifically and Africa more broadly. We particulary welcome quality submissions from less-developed countries.
